About Styx
Styx was formed in Chicago in 1972 and has gone on to be one of the country’s most popular rock bands. They are best known for their style of music and hit singles like “Mr. Roboto” and “Come Sail Away”. To this day they continue to tour and sell tickets to venues worldwide. The original band consisted of brothers John and Chuck Panozzo, Dennis DeYoung, James Young and John Curulewski. In the early seventies and were signed to the label Wooden Nickel Records under the name TW4. However not long after signing, they changed their name officially to Styx. The band reached nationwide fame and began to sell out venues when their single “Lady” off the album, Styx II, started getting airplay on the radio. Soon after the band signed to a major label, A&M Records. Styx continued to release hit after hit in the 70’s and 80’s including singles like "Come Sail Away" (#8), "Babe" (#1), "The Best of Times" (#3), "Too Much Time on My Hands" (#9) and "Mr. Roboto" (#3). The band has five consecutive albums certified multi-platinum well as 16 top 40 singles in the US, 8 of which hit the top 10. With hits like these you will not be disappointed in a live Styx concert!
