Florida Georgia Line as been tapped to play the 2016 Daytona 500 on February 21st.
Florida Georgia Line has been selected to play the 2016 NASCAR Daytona 500 in Daytona Beach, Fla., which is also where group member Brian Kelley grew up.
Kelly states, “It’s a dream come true to play in the city where I was born, went to high school in and now have the honor of being a part of one of my family’s favorite sporting events, the Daytona 500.Performing at the 500 feels full circle to me as I grew up working the 500 as a fundraiser for our baseball team and was in awe then and still am.”
Kelley grew up in the neighboring town of Ormond Beach, and attended Daytona State College. His father, Ed Kelley, has been mayor of Ormond Beach since 2010.
The 58th annual Daytona 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race will take place February 21st at the famous Dayotna International Speedway.
“We’re extremely thankful for the opportunity to be part of such a huge day for NASCAR and our fans. We can’t wait to bring the biggest party the Daytona 500 has ever seen,” says Tyler Hubbard. The other half of Florida Georgia Line.
Florida Georgia Line is on the road through October 17th with Luke Bryan’s Kick the Dust Up tour.
