Justin Bieber began his highly anticipated Purpose World Tour last week with Seattle, Vancouver, Portland, and Sacramento, and fans across the rest of the United States and Europe can still look forward to seeing him as the tour continues through the end of November.
Tickets for the Purpose World Tour aren’t always easy to come by though, and fans should be careful to get theirs from a reputable seller like CapitalCityTickets.com.
Justin Bieber Purpose World Tour Reviews
Reviews for the Purpose World Tour have so far been mostly positive.
Francois Marchand, writing for the Vancouver Sun, notes the show’s elaborate set pieces (“Bieber’s show was served with everything but the kitchen sink.”) and concludes of the tour’s second outing, “all in all it was entertaining and the songs on Purpose are excellent – smooth and steady, atmospheric and deep.”
Somewhat more critically, The Oregonian/OregonLive’s David Greenwald described Bieber’s Portland show at the Moda Center as being characterized by, “an unexpected rock style aesthetic that merged elements of ’80s metal, ’90s grunge and 2000s industrial into an apparently fashionable expression of angst.”
Some though, like Alex Young at Consequence of Sound, have been critical of Bieber’s apparent channeling of deceased Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain through grunge-inspired fashion choices – especially at the tour’s Seattle opening (Seattle was Cobain’s home city).
One thing everyone can agree on: with set pieces like descending platforms, a trampoline routine, indoor rain, backup dancers, drum solos, and, of course, thousands of screaming fans, the Purpose World Tour is nothing if not a true spectacle that takes full advantage of what an arena makes possible. If you’re a Bieber fan, we doubt you’ll be disappointed.
Beware Justin Bieber Ticket Scams
Unfortunately, with an event as popular and spectacular as the Purpose World Tour, some unscrupulous people are bound to try to take advantage of eager fans. Numerous ticket scams have already been reported across the United States and Canada.
In a particularly tragic example, one fan travelled 15 hours from her native Brazil to Vancouver only to pay $600 for what turned out to be a counterfeit ticket. Luckily, her story went viral on Twitter and fellow Bieber fans banded together to purchase the girl a ticket and get her into the show.
Not every scam has such a happy ending, though, so be careful when looking for tickets. Avoid buying tickets on craigslist, as it seems to be a common denominator in many ticket scam stories. Be sure you’re buying legitimate Justin Bieber tickets by buying them through a legitimate sellers like CapitalCityTickets.com.
