Alice Cooper (Vincent Damon Furnier) is an American rock icon. The singer’s career spans over five decades. Cooper got his name from his original band, Alice Cooper. He played the harmonica and sang vocals. The original Alice Cooper band released its first album in 1969 but broke into the international music mainstream with the 1971 single “I’m Eighteen” from their album Love It to Death, which was followed by the even bigger single “School’s Out” in 1972. Alice Cooper began selling tickets to larger and larger venues and often played to sold-out crowds. Furnier adopted the band’s name as his own name in the 1970s and began a solo career with the 1975 concept album Welcome to My Nightmare.
In 2011, the original Alice Cooper band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Rolling Stone Album Guide calling him the world’s most “beloved heavy metal entertainer”.
Formed in Red Lion, PA, Halestorm is a hard rock band consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Lzzy Hale, her brother Arejay Hale, Joe Hottinger, and Josh Smith. Their second album The Strange Case Of… was released in 2012 contained the single “Love Bites (So Do I)” and won them their first Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance. Halestorm is well known for their near non-stop touring, often performing as many as 250 shows a year.
