Kenny Chesney is hitting the road in 2018 and kicking it all off on April 21st in Tampa, FL at the Raymond James Stadium.
Thomas Rhett, Old Dominion and Taste of Country RISER Brandon Lay will join Chesney for these new stadium dates.
Kenneth Arnold Chesney was born on March 26, 1968, in Knoxville, TN. He attended East Tennessee State University where he fell in love with performing music. Chesney got his start playing local bars and a mainstay at a local Mexican restaurant. Playing as often as he could in college, Kenny Chesney slowly built a following and decided to move to Nashville in order to further his career.
Kenny Chesney signed with Capricorn Records in 1992 and he released his debut album, In My Wildest Dreams (1993). Soon after, Capricorn Records got rid of their country music artist label division and let him go. Chesney signed with RCA. With RCA Chesney released All I Need to Know (1995), Me and You (1996) and I Will Stand (1997).
In 1999 his album, Everywhere We Go put him on the country music map. It was his first album to reach the top five in the country album charts. “How Forever Feels” and “You Had Me From Hello” gave him his first number one singles.
After the success of, Everywhere We Go, his future albums went multi-platinum as well. Those albums were No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems (2002), When the Sun Goes Down (2004), The Road and the Radio (2005), and Lucky Old Sun (2008).
When the Sun Goes Down captured Kenny Chesney his first CMA Award for Album of the Year. Kenny Chesney has worked with a wide range of artists both in recording and in concert. Some of them being Uncle Kracker, Pink, Willie Nelson and Dave Matthews.
Kenny Chesney’s most recent album, Cosmic Hallelujah was released in September 2016, and featured the singles, “Setting the world on Fire” (with Pink), “Bucket,” “Coach,” and the popular pop-country hit “Noise.” Kenny Chesney sells tickets as fast as they are printed. Chesney has received six Academy of Country Music awards as well as six CMA awards during his music career. He is one of the most popular touring acts in country music, regularly selling out the venues.
