The band became one of the biggest bands in the land and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.
Unfortunately, Mercury passed away in 1991 of bronchopneumonia and a complication of AIDS. May and Taylor kept performing together occasionally. In 2014, American Idol alum Adam Lambert joined the band and became the perfect stand-in for the iconic Freddie Mercury. They began touring again as Queen and have started selling concert tickets to large venues.
