Breaking Benjamin is an alternative rock band from Wilkes Barre, PA founded in 1998 by singer Benajamin Burnley and drummer Jeremy Hummel. After signing with Hollywood Records they went on to have a successful career for over a decade. Their albums, Phobia and Dear Agony, brought national exposure to the band. Two of Breaking Benjamin’s biggest hits, “The Diary of Jane” and “Breath”, were off their album Phobia. Dear Agony was released in 2009 and reached gold certification with help from the hit song, “I Will Not Bow.”
The band took a short break amid legal disagreements. During that period the band the fans had grew to love broke up and a new lineup was formed.
