Country music performer Kenny Chesney has found a new duet partner: pop star P!NK. The two recorded a song entitled “Setting the World on Fire” that will be featured on Chesney’s upcoming album Some Town Somewhere. Chesney and P!NK became friends when Chesney was in California, and he asked her to sing along with him on the song.
Both singers have recorded successful duets in the past with other artists. Chesney has recorded songs with Grace Potter, including the hit singles “Wild Child” and “You and Tequila.” P!NK and fun. singer Nate Ruess had a major hit in 2013 with “Just Give Me a Reason.”
Chesney’s New Album
Some Town Somewhere was originally supposed to be released on July 8, but the date was pushed back to October 28. The first single, “Noise,” is currently making its way up Billboard’s Country Airplay charts. The song, which deals with information addiction, was written by Chesney, Shane McAnally, Jon Nite, and Ross Copperman.
