It featured the song “Curl of the Burl”, which was nominated for a Grammy for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance in 2012.
In 1984 a rock band from Amherst, MA was formed named, Dinosaur Jr (original band name was just Dinosaur). The band was founded by J Mascis, Lou Barlow, and Murph who were high school friends. They released three albums on an independent label which led to their discovery and quick nationwide popularity. The group broke up in 1997, but in 2005 the original band got back together and the Dinosaur Jr. fan base was still there to purchase tickets.
Coheed and Cambria is a progressive rock band from New York. The band consists of Claudio Sanchez, Travis Stever, Josh Eppar, and Zach Cooper. Their music consists of genres of progressive rock, pop, heavy metal, and post-hardcore. Most of Coheed and Cambria’s albums are concept albums based on a science fiction storyline called The Amory Wars, a series written by Claudio Sanchez.
