Founded in 1998, Little Big Town is a country quartet founded based out of Nashville, TN. The group members are Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook (Fairchild’s husband), and Phillip Sweet. In 1997, while attending Samford University in Alabama, she met Kimberly Roads. The group got their start singing backup vocals and wrote for various artists, including Collin Raye and Sherrie Austin.
In 2002, Little Big Town released of their debut album, Little Big Town. The album featured the singles “Don’t Waste My Time” and “Everything Changes,” both of which reached spots on the US Billboard country charts.
Their second album, The Road to Here. featured the singles “Bondocks” and “Bring It On Home” and brought the band national attention in country music. They began selling tickets to larger and larger venues. The album was also nominated for “Best Country Performance” by a Duo or Group with Vocals at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards.
