Rapper Drake made headlines this weekend when he made a surprise performance at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas on Saturday. The six-song set took place at FADER FORT, and included hits like “Know Yourself,” “Legend,” “Energy,” and “Summer 16.”

Drake also announced that the release of his much-awaited new album Views from the 6 is close, and although he didn’t give a precise date for the drop he did tease that he was planning on a tour in support of the album.

“Views from the 6 coming in how many weeks, I hope you enjoy that s@#t,” Drake told the crowd.

While an official list of tour dates hasn’t yet been announced, the Toronto rapper did say he’d be back in Austin, as well has Dallas and Houston. [Read more…]
