Rapper Drake made headlines this weekend when he made a surprise performance at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas on Saturday. The six-song set took place at FADER FORT, and included hits like “Know Yourself,” “Legend,” “Energy,” and “Summer 16.”
Drake also announced that the release of his much-awaited new album Views from the 6 is close, and although he didn’t give a precise date for the drop he did tease that he was planning on a tour in support of the album.
“Views from the 6 coming in how many weeks, I hope you enjoy that s@#t,” Drake told the crowd.
While an official list of tour dates hasn’t yet been announced, the Toronto rapper did say he’d be back in Austin, as well has Dallas and Houston.

Drake and Rihanna Surprise Cancer Patient in Miami
Drake joined ex-girlfriend Rihanna during the Miami stop of her ongoing ANTI World Tour for a performance of the number-one single, “Work.”
Later, a young Miami fan named Megan, who’s currently undergoing cancer treatment, got the chance to meet the famous couple in a visit arranged by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. ” He was so sweet & down to earth. Gave me and my family some OVO clothing. BEST DAY EVER. NO LIE,” wrote Megan on Instagram.

Drake Plays Rooftop Show During Houston Block Party
Going back to Texas, Drake surprised more fans in Houston when he performed “Big Rings” and “Hotline Bling” during the second annual 5th Ward block party organized by native Jas Prince, who helped discover Drake.
